Seit 1996 präsentieren sich COURAGOUS (das weggelassene ‚e‘ ist immer noch Absicht) mal mehr, mal weniger auf dem Live- und Tonträgermarkt. 1996 und 1997 wurden zwei Demos veröffentlicht, welche nicht nur reißenden Absatz fanden, sondern auch überschwängliche Kritiken in der Fachpresse bekamen. Ende 1998 wagten COURAGOUS mit „Listen“ den Sprung auf den Silberteller. Neun raue Tracks, die von den vielen zweistimmigen Gitarrenmelodien, dem abwechselnd aggressiven und cleanen Vocals sowie dem fetten Sound der Scheibe leben. Der renommierte Radiosender „HR3“ wählte die Band 1998 umgehend zur „besten Newcomerband des Jahres“ und im Januar 2000 betitelte das größte Hard’n’Heavy Magazin Deutschlands „Rock Hard” COURAGOUS als „eine der besten Bands ohne Deal 2000“. Unterschiedliche Sampler-Beiträge und Radioeinsätze waren die Folge. Auf dem Live-Sektor hat man in den vergangenen 5 Jahren die ganze Bundesrepublik bereist und sich bereits jetzt einen Ruf als „sehr gute Live-Band“ gemacht, was man bei einigen Festivalauftritten u.a. auf dem „Bang Your Head 2001“ mit Judas Priest, Savatage, Megadeth, Armored Saint, Vicious Rumors, Stratovarius, Dee Snider u.v.m. und Support-Shows von Bands wie u.a. Metal Church, Angel Dust, Destillery, Thunderhead, Rage, Avalon, Eisregen und Tankard auch einem größeren Publikum beweisen konnte. Im Frühjahr 2002 absolvierten COURAGOUS noch eine erfolgreiche Underground-Tour mit Perzonal War und Red To Grey.

Die langersehnte Scheibe „Remember“ -11 fett produzierte Songs, die noch mehr Abwechslung, Melodien, Spannungsbögen und Power vorweisen können- hat es sogar geschafft, die fantastischen Reviews zum Debuet noch zu toppen. Mit dieser Scheibe ist COURAGOUS nun einmal mehr der Spagat zwischen Tradition und Moderne gelungen. Unendlich viele Gitarrenmelodien, mal aggressiver, mal ruhiger, mal psychotischer Gesang und eine Menge Grooves, die dir am Kopf schrauben und das Genick rotieren lassen.

DREAM OR NIGHTMARE is a project that combines several styles of metal to create an original and unique sound. Influences include not only modern, traditional, and progressive metal, but also several other musical genres; thus allowing for much creativity in writing and performance (even reaching beyond what is displayed on their demo CD).

Along with founder and lead guitarist Joe Sims (who has received international acclaim for his work with the groups Axemaster, The Awakening, and Reign), DREAM OR NIGHTMARE has grown into a strong unit through the heavy yet complex work of lead guitarist Jim Arnold, the solid progressive bass of Dave Rhynard, and the energy of drummer Russ Kirk, this combination has proven to be one that has the ability, talent, and creativity to produce a style that will appeal to fans of all varieties of metal.

With thoughtful lyrics, powerful yet technical music, and an overall feel and flavor that’s all their own, this band has all the elements to become a worldwide success. Their debut 4 song demo CD is only the beginning of bigger and better things to come from DREAM OR NIGHTMARE; a project that will soon be breaking through on the international scene.

1996 Frühjahr: Die Goslarer Band L.O.W. wird gegründet in der Besetzung: Andreas Lasch (Gesang), Michael Otto (Gitarre), Tobias Brandt (Gitarre), Volker Götze (Bass) sowie Edin Alicic (Schlagzeug). Den ersten Auftritt gibt es noch im Herbst des selben Jahres, unzählige weitere in und um Goslar sowie in den umliegenden Bundesländern sollen folgen.

1998 November: Mit neuem Sänger (Martin Wentz) erscheint das erste Demo „We couldn´t draw it to a close“ auf CD.

1999 April: Der Song „Damien´s Eyes“ wird professionell aufgenommen und auf dem Sampler HARZ BEAT 2000 (herausgegeben von der Goslarschen Zeitung) veröffentlicht. Noch bevor das Jahr zu Ende ist, muß sich die Band aus persönlichen Gründen von Bassist und Sänger trennen.

2000 Die Suche nach geeignetem Ersatz gestaltet sich schwieriger als erwartet, weswegen Michael das Mikrofon übernimmt und Tobias sich am Bass versucht. Mit den neuen Gitarristen Christian Daerr und Tim Pascharat ist das Line-Up wieder komplett und die Aufnahmen zum ersten „richtigen“ Album beginnen im Tonstudio von Jost Schlüter. L.O.W. absolvieren in der neuen Besetzung nur drei Konzerte.

2001 Die Aufnahmen können nach Überwindung einiger Hürden im Laufe des Jahres endlich abgeschlossen werden, der Mix beginnt… Noch bevor die CD endgültig fertig ist, verläßt Christian Daerr die Band, Dennis Meyer übernimmt seinen Job an der Gitarre. Im Dezember wird Bassist und Gründungsmitglied Volker wieder ins Boot geholt und löst Tobias ab.

2002 Nach etwa 2-jähriger Bühnenabstinenz meldet sich der Fünfer am 22.06. mit seinem Auftritt beim Open – Air HARZ ROCK 2002, wo auch so namhafte Künstler wie OVERKILL, BLAZE BAYLEY und TANKARD spielen, eindrucksvoll zurück. An diesem Wochenende wird auch die CD „TURN THE PAGE“ veröffentlicht. Weitere Auftritte folgen, neues Material ist bereits in Arbeit.

The band was formed in 1989 at the small town Klimkovice near Ostrava city by Vladislav Rybka and Lukas Lednicky and named Agressor at first. After Tomas Blaha came back from the military service, the band was renamed to Nemesis. VocalistVladimir Triskala and guitarist Marek Schneider came in on September 1990. Nemesis recorded the first demo ‘Find the truth’ on February 1991 and the second one ‘Final exit’ the year after. Lukas was replaced by Martin Dufka in summer 1992. Tomas left on October and the band had to start looking for a good bassguitarist. Petr Danc was found on break of the years 92/93, but he left during recording of the first album Temptation in summer and some of his parts was recorded by guest Petr Moczek (legend of Ostrava’s bass players). Michal Gasperik came after recording. Conflicts about music style (which already started during recording and kept on whole year, in which band waited for release of the album) broke the band. Vladimír Triskala left to ‘Disfigured Corpse’, Marek Schneider started producing his new album ‘Huba plechova’, Martin Dufka left to ‘Milion sedm’. Vladislav Rybka started to study at conservatory and play at some theatre band.

At the beginning the band played mixture of thrash metal with death metal. First performances was played with bands like as DENET, KRABATHOR, MASSACRA, PUNGENT STENCH, ROOT. Nemesis really quickly belonged to the best heavy acts in the Czech Republic.

We started talk about comeback later year 2001. We dusted up our instruments, took new (Radim Vanko – bass, Rostislav Kosmák – vocal) and “new” (Lukas Lednicky) members and began to play again.

The Night Crawlers are a Power Metal band that mixes a heavy sound and melody, besides showing fantasy, magic, medieval tales and contemporary themes in their songs. The Night Crawlers were born in 1998, in Belo Horizonte (Brazil); there were some changes in the band’s formation and only the founder members remained. Nowadays Leo Garibaldi, Ricardo Andrade, Thiago Soares e Oscar Costa, forms the band.

Finalist in the “Rock This Town” battle of the bands competition for the Frühlings Fest, Paderborn. (with the second highest number of points since the highly celebrated qualifying concert in the “Cafete” Paderborn, December 2003). Awarded 2nd place!

From the ashes of Sorrow Bequest, The Widow’s Lust was formed in the winter of 2000. Guitarist Cristof got together with drummer Mike and decided to form the group to express their vision of horror. Johnny and Joshua also possessed the same dark ideas and their union was inevitable.

The group is influenced by many of their own experiences, plus groups such as King Diamond,Crimson Glory, Warlord, Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, and Yngwie Malmsteen. The Widow’s Lust explores the neo-classical side of heavy metal combined with their death metal roots. The morbid personality of each member comes together to form the unique sound of the band.

The Widow’s Lust has completed their debut recording, entitled No Stone Unturned, in the Summer of 2002. A worldwide release is imminent. The macabre songs bring to life the wicked, perverse thoughts that delight each member from day to day. The world should fear the unspeakable horror that is The Widow’s Lust.
